Women LEAD (Leading
through Empowerment Affiliations and Development)
These
programs are designed as short events to encourage networking and
provide a woman's view of leadership. Each program will highlight a
female speaker to talk
about leadership through a woman's lens, following the speaker there
will be an opportunity for discussion and networking. If you have

The Women LEAD program is being coordinated this year by
three students, Alisa Yu, Rachael Petersen, and Stephanie Agu.
This month's speaker will be Rebecca White, currently President and CEO of the Houston Area Women's Center. Having joined the agency in March 2008, she has more than 20 years of management experience in the nonprofit sector, most recently as Senior Vice President of Planned Parenthood of Southeast Texas. She has been involved in legislative strategy planning for nonprofit organizations and is a member of Leadership Houston, The United Way Leaders Circle, Women of Wine Charities, and the University of Texas Parents' Association. Rebecca received her BA in English Literature at Washington University and her Masters of Business Administration at The University of Houston.
