Impact Rice Retreat
(IRR)
The Impact Rice Retreat is the only official leadership
retreat on campus for freshman and sophomores that is entirely student led. Impact is held once a year at the beginning of
the Spring semester and takes place off campus for an entire weekend.
Impact is staffed and coordinated by juniors and seniors who
have participated in the retreat as freshmen or sophomores and have extensive
experience developing their residential colleges and campus-wide student
organizations. Staff members routinely consist of Club, College
and Student Body Presidents, O-Week Coordinators and Beer Bike Coordinators. Students
who participate in Impact come away with a stronger network of friends, as well
as the knowledge and skills necessary to make an actual impact on campus - and
they have a lot of fun in the process! Former impact participants have
gone on to quite literally run the university.
Our application timeline is now closed. If you have any questions, please contact the
Impact Coordinators by emailing impactrice@gmail.com. If you are looking for additional leadership opportunities, please see the Student Activities Offerings on our leadership page.
